Meet the

Family!

2020 was a hot mess.
Part of our experience was trying
to do kindergarten from a computer...

...Woof.

But in between zoom lessons, we made fabric face masks together with the funniest and weirdest
fabric prints we could find.

and they actually sold!

When people didn't need them anymore (yay!)
we pivoted our venture.

Now we make personalized dog bandanas
and other fun pet accessories!

We're a Mama-and-Kiddo
duo who treat Petcraft
as an ongoing lesson in entrepreneurship.

6 Years in the Making

Snapshots of Our Journey!

Our Home

We have loved living in Western North Carolina for the past 12 years, and Asheville feels like home.
We happened to be living in Swannanoa when Hurricane Helene came through in 2024.

It changed us...

...and it changed our business, too.

We put the business on hold and took some time to help our community. Months later, when the water came back online, we were able to re-stabilize our living situation. We had surgeries, too, as well as other family emergencies in 2024.

It was a lot. I refer to 2020-2025 as a season of seismic change for our family - and we're not done yet.

Eventually, we had enough spoons to re-evaluate what we wanted to do about this business. It didn't make sense to stop entirely, because
we had something good.

So we decided to keep going...but smaller, slower, and with more clarity.

The Rebrand

We put a lot of thought into the rebrand, and took lessons from past missteps.
We decided to niche down and get more focused on what we make - and for whom.

Finally, we wanted to make things...lighter. Lighter-hearted. Simpler.
After all, we were bringing a source of joy back to light after a very dark and complicated time.

We were Threadcraftian.
And it was an incredible experience.

And we have new goals:

1 better embroidery machine
2 do more dog shows
3 Build a mobile business
4 sell online in our own store
5 earn more income
6 Give more to WNC charities

Now, we are Petcraft!

How are we coming along so far in 2026?

1 better embroidery machine
2 do more dog shows
3 Build a mobile business
4 sell online in our own store
5 earn more income
6 Give more to WNC charities
